Street Racing: Import VS. Domestic

July 3rd, 2015

Street Racing Import VS DomesticThere is something extra-thrilling about racing at night. As the sun fades and the moon makes its appearance, ambient temperatures ease down and racing conditions enter the realm of perfection. This video documents just such a street race, as a potent all-wheel drive import supercar clashes with a hard charging all-American rear-wheel drive muscle car.

Let’s begin with the C5 Corvette. It is equipped with a specially built 418-cubic-inch V8 racing engine. In front of that sits a single Precision 8891 turbocharger, behind it a 6-speed manual transmission with a Monster Lt1-R clutch. Output is estimated loosely at 1,100+HP. The ‘Vette is running racing slicks and E85 fuel.

The Nissan GT-R is well heeled with a Boost Logic BL 1100 Package (too much to list here!), dual Forced Performance HTA 30r turbochargers, and E85 gas. It is also rated at 1,100+ HP.

Note: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
