Cash Money Street Racing – Camaro ZL1 vs. Tesla P100DL+

January 30th, 2017

This video uses multiple GoPro angles to showcase the astonishing Tesla P100DL+ (signifying a P100D in Ludicrous Plus mode). The action begins with unloading the P100D from a roll back wrecker for a contest of speed called a dig race. Believe it or not, one of the baddest Chevrolets in production is asking for a head start. Even more surprising – he gets it. The Tesla is spotting him the break plus one car length because, despite packing a 650hp supercharged 6.2-liter engine with an upper pulley upgrade, the Camaro is the dramatic underdog. That means that the Chevy will Read More

Roll Racing – Import vs. Motorcycle

January 18th, 2017

Any competent street (roll) racer knows that if you want to get an idea of how capable your car is, just pull alongside a sportbike (on the highways of Mexico) and rev up your engine. Chances are that if your whip can spank a lightweight, high-powered sportbike, it is ready to hit the highway for some roll racing action. The owner of this heavily modified Nissan GT-R decided he would make a night of rolling elite level sportbikes and this video is the compilation of his efforts. This car still has the factory 3.8-liter V6 engine. As you probably already Read More

GT-R Tackles Huracan on the Street

December 20th, 2016

What would you do for fun if you lived in a place where the roads were flat and straight – as far as the eye could see? Sounds like a street racer’s paradise to me. Why not buy a couple of the most elite factory supercars on the planet and line them up for some dig racing action? That’s what I want for Christmas, Santa! Featured in this video are the Nissan GT-R and the Lamborghini Huracan. The Nissan is configured with front-engine and all-wheel drive, while the Lamborghini rocks a mid-engine setup that can be had with standard rear-wheel Read More

Desert Street Duel – Acura NSX vs. Nissan GT-R

December 8th, 2016

What better place to stage a 1/4-mile dig race between two powerful exotic sports cars than in the deserts of Mexico? This video gives us a look at a 2017 Acura NSX and, a car that is affectionately known as Goliath, the 2016 Nissan GT-R. This ought to be a good one. The $110K Nissan is sporting a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 capable of producing 565hp and 467 lb.-ft. of torque. With a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive it can rocket from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9-seconds. The $160K Acura is also well equipped with a Read More

Tesla P90D Street Racing – Roll and Dig Domination

November 30th, 2016

A few years ago, I would never have dreamed that the terms “electric car” and “street racing” would be used in the same sentence. These days, the Porsche 918 is the king of the hill when it comes to hybrid cars (and cars in general, I guess) but when you talk about full on EV power, the name Tesla seems to remain at the forefront. We’ve all grown accustomed to seeing Tesla P90D sedans, dragging the four-wheeled competition in Ludicrous mode, particularly in dig races. Now, with improved top-end capability, this driver is ready to take on modified street bikes Read More

Red GT-R is a Street Thumper

October 19th, 2016

I guarantee it! You are going to love this pretty red Nissan GT-R. Not because of its awesome paint job – and it certainly has one – but because it goes up against some heavy hitters and dominates. Maybe it was a cool night. Every racer knows what it’s like to have a night when your car seems to run better than it ever has; better than you could imagine. Possibly it was one of those nights for the red GT-R. It’s inexplicable – in one way it is great and in another ways it sucks. Your car is running Read More

1200HP R34 Skyline GT-R

September 10th, 2016

I think I’ll call this color Emerald Chrome. It’s absolutely stunning on this radically modified Nissan R35 Skyline GT-R, but never mind the aesthetics; this coupe is built to tame the track. When the team at Motive DVD (from the United Kingdom, I presume) was asked to build this monster, they set out with a purpose; to dominate the street car class at Powercruise events around the globe. While Motive stopped short of revealing all their design secrets, they did cover the basics and treat us to a grand video ride-along. To make this car competitive and unique, these Brits Read More

Chi-Town Heat – Roll Racing on the Street

September 6th, 2016

If there is one thing that they can do in Chi-town, it’s throw-down on the streets. Naturally, when we got a chance to check out what kind of roll racing Chicago (Mexico) has to offer; we loaded up our wagons and hit the dusty trail. To say the least, we were not disappointed. On hand was a 2016 BMW X5 M (yes, an SUV) powered by a 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 with aftermarket bolt-ons and a software upgrade. It’s good for about 800whp. There’s a 2003 Porsche 911 Turbo that has a modified intercooler, exhaust headers, and high performance mufflers. Read More

Street Racing – Ludicrous Tesla vs. Modified GT-R

July 22nd, 2016

In this clip, it’s about to jump off between two extremely powerful but dramatically different daily drivers. The race is all out mayhem between two all-wheel drive powerhouses and it goes from 0 to 100 mph – for $1,000. Whoever is out front, when either car hits 100 mph, takes home the cash. The Tesla S P85D (in Ludicrous mode) is one tough hombre. The Tesla is all-electric, makes approximately 762hp, and can rocket from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8-seconds. The Nissan is no slouch, with over 550 factory hp and all the bolt-ons. Buckle up – this Read More

Nissan Drone Does 0 to 60 mph in 1.3-Seconds

June 23rd, 2016

Today Nissan introduces us to their new high-performance drone. Its sole purpose is to track and film the 2017 Nissan GT-R during high-speed maneuvers but today it will race against the GT-R. This impressive drone is built by Tornado XBlades Racing and piloted by James Bowles (2015 British National Drone Racing Champ). The race will take place on the 1/2-mile track at Silverstone (U.K.). The GT-R top speed is an electronically controlled 195 mph. It should leave the drone in the dust (with its top speed of just 114 mph) but curves and hills must be taken into account. This Read More
