900HP MR2 Tames the Arizona Streets

April 22nd, 2016

Now, get this! This Toyota MR2 (mid-engine setup) is equipped with a Honda drivetrain. That includes a K20 2.0-liter engine that has been fitted with dart racing sleeves, JE Pistons, Manley valve train components, a stock cylinder head (camshaft upgrade), and a 66-millimeter turbo making between 25 and 36-pounds of boost. The combination is capable of churning out over 900hp and it is shifted using a sequential transmission. Right out of the gate, this Toyota dusts a 700hp Evo, then rubs up against a GXR1000 sportbike. The Suzuki ain’t having none of it and whips the MR2 handily. Then he Read More

3-Wide Street Racing – GT500 vs Corvette vs Honda

April 21st, 2016

This is straight-up, 3-wide street racing action between a couple of power house sports cars and a Honda. First, the big dogs line-up for some 60mph roll racing. After the GT500 gets through skinning the ‘Vette, the Chevy takes out his pent-up aggression on the Honda in progress. This black beauty Mustang GT500 has a built engine with the camshaft and cylinder heads upgraded; plus there’s a giant 4.2-liter (that’s almost as big as the 5.0-liter engine) Kenne Belle supercharger bolted on top. Horsepower is estimated at 1,000. The Corvette C6Z is equipped with a 100-shot of laughing gas and Read More

Import Street Shootout – Mitsubishi Evo vs. Honda Civic

April 7th, 2016

Import aficionados will really appreciate this video. Roll racing is the order of the day and there’s a well put together Mitsubishi that’s beating the brakes off everything. There is also several bonus runs with various imports making a Mustang Cobra look pretty weak. The main event is between a 500hp Civic and the aforementioned Evolution. The Honda is trying to get dialed-in (and the Mitsubishi is giving him ample opportunity) but the Evo is quite a hand-full. The Mitsubishi is running a built 2.0-liter engine block (stock cylinder head) with upgraded camshafts and a twin-scroll Precision 6070 dual ball-bearing Read More

Roll Racing – Acura vs Audi

March 18th, 2016

I don’t know about you, but when I see any Acura (short of possibly an NSX) line up against a twin turbocharged Audi R8, the last thing that I expect is for the Acura to emerge victorious. After all the TT R8 (in factory trim) has built a sterling reputation as a high performance contender and this particular car has been modified to produce 1,000hp. So, what’s a poor little Integra left to do? Fret not; this is no ordinary Acura. It’s running a Precision 6466 turbocharger, a Motec ECU, and is shifting through a Dogbox transmission. Since the Acura Read More

Sunset Street Racing South of the Border

January 29th, 2016

This clip has some great heads-up roll racing from the streets of “Old Mexico” – coming at you in all its glory. The cars are primed and the drivers are revved-up for action, so you know it’s going to be an interesting night. The Cadillac CTS-Vs are out in force but our first matchup is between a 5.0-liter Ford Mustang and a 6.4-liter HEMI Chrysler 300 SRT. These two break even as far as I can tell; then the Chrysler rolls out against a CTS-V (6.2-liter supercharged). The Caddy jumps on him and walks the dog all the way to Read More

Wild, Wild West Street Racing

January 21st, 2016

This clip details a cowboy’s night out on the streets of Phoenix, Arizona. Instead of horses and six-guns, these cowboys are packing forced air induction and nitrous oxide. It’s night-time dig racing on the highways and byways of one of the west’s largest cities. This action is insane – don’t miss it. There’s a hood scoop with a nitrous V8 Chevy Monza attached to it. This thing is more show than go and gets dusted by one Fox Body nitrous Mustang before beating another. At any rate, it’s refreshing to see a Monza again; you hardly ever see them anymore. There’s Read More

800HP Turbo Civic Takes on All Challengers

January 14th, 2016

This video shows a seriously tricked out Honda Civic with a built and sleeved GSR engine, a 67/72 turbocharger, and a Javi tuner in some competitive heads-up roll racing on the streets. He is taking on all challengers. There is a GTR that locks horns with the little Honda only to find out that he paid way too much to be getting whooped by a lowly Civic. Then there’s a couple of bad bikes and a Honda S2000 that gets left in the lurch. After that, it’s off to the track where the roll racing continues. If you like roll Read More

World’s Fastest S2000 Runs 7.17 @ 192 MPH

December 8th, 2015

This clip brings us the world record setting 1/4-mile run of a Honda S2000. This coupe is built, tuned, and campaigned by the gang at Real St. It is sporting a set of 10.5-inch wide racing slicks and this thing really hooks up and blasts down the track. I know it is Real St. but you really don’t want to go up against this import on the street – or do you? Believe it or not, this Honda is still equipped with a 2.2-liter inline four-cylinder (F22C) engine built by Inline PRO. It has also been upgraded with an 82-millimeter Precision turbocharger. The Read More

SEMA 2015 Highlights

December 3rd, 2015

If you (like I) missed the 2015 SEMA show in Las Vegas, here are a few video highlights that may help to soothe the wound. For starters there’s a full-custom JDM Nissan Sunny pickup with a tricked out SR-20 four-cylinder engine. This contraption weighs only about 1,800-pounds and makes 450hp. Next, we have an E28 BMW. You will seldom see a wilder suspension setup than the one on this car. It’s inboard mounted and push rod activated with aluminum mounts. The engine is an inline 6-cylinder (dry-sump oiling system) that has been seriously beefed up by VAC Motorsports in Philadelphia. Read More

Twin Turbo V8 Powered Honda Civic

October 29th, 2015

After four-years Jeff Lutz Jr. finally got to campaign his CRAZY 1989 Honda Civic during Drag Week 2015. This highly modified import has garnered some degree of internet fame during the last few years. Weighing only 2,300-pounds, this car can already sprint through the 1320 in the 7-second range and we expect some really special things once Jeff gets the boost tuned in. No more v-tec for this Civic. A tube chassis supports a massive 434-cubic-inch-diameter V8 Vinson Race engine with a pair of Precision 76-millimeter turbos (good for 1,000hp!). Jeff and the crew fought some headaches during Drag Week Read More
