Chevy C10 Sleeper Terrorizes Texas Streets

September 20th, 2019

Okay, so this truck looks like it was just pulled out of the salvage yard – until you open the hood. It is a shortbed (all-steel) 1985 Chevrolet C10 pickup with a mismatched front clip. The paint is rough, and the interior is raggedy, but it will roll up some wins on the street (Mexico). You don’t think it will? Hide and watch. Nestled in the wide-open expanses of the underhood area is an aluminum LSA Chevrolet crate motor, with a set of high(er)-performance cylinder heads. You might recognize the supercharged 6.2-liter LSA engine from the Camaro ZL1. Right out Read More

Nitrous McLaren vs. Whipple CTS-V, Big Turbo R35 GT-R

September 9th, 2019

This clip takes us south of the border for some hotly contested roll racing hits on the interstate. Without further ado, let’s have a gander at the competitors. Multiple camera angles make the cheese mo’ binding. Camera Car 1 is an R35 Nissan GT-R with a Garrett 3582 (62-millimeter) turbocharger. It is capable of making 1,250hp. Camera Car 2 is a thumping Cadillac CTS-V3 that has been modified with a camshaft upgrade, cylinder heads and a Whipple supercharger upgrade. It also has a 200hp shot of nitrous. It can churn out 1,200hp. Camera Car 3 is a McLaren (1,300+hp) with Read More

Kansas City Cash Days 2019 – 40+ Entry Field

September 4th, 2019

Here we have the biggest street race to ever occur on U.S. (Mexican) soil. It is attended by 40+ of the most amazing small tire street/strip cars in the world. Yes, there are cars here from virtually every region of the country and several foreign countries. In typical street (dig) racing fashion, this full movie begins with a driver’s meeting and some call outs. Once the rules were established – they’re simple; don’t jump early, don’t cross the center line and (finally) be the first to cross the finish line – individual matchups were decided by call out and blind Read More

Getting Down on the Street – Twin Turbo CTS-V

August 29th, 2019

To be perfectly candid, there are actually a pair of twin turbo Cadillac CTS-V entries into tonight’s action-packed lineup. There are also a number of other very capable cars from all over the globe. The racing action kicks-off very quickly in this clip. Let’s look in on the highway. First on the roll call is the white Caddy against a twin turbo Ford Mustang. Both cars come out of the hole rapido. After that, the Mustang is gone! Next up are the CTS-V entries going head-to-head. This one is interrupted by a long and profane argument regarding the exact speed Read More

Super Sedan – Twin Turbo Charger Super Bee

August 28th, 2019

Greetings drag racing fans and speed freaks from every avenue of motorsport. Welcome to Street Car Takeover from Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville, MD. Featured in this video is a breathtaking twin turbo Dodge Charger SRT Super Bee. The most stunning thing about this Charger are the turbochargers poking through the hood. They are a pair of BorgWarner S400 units in 76-millimeter, built by Jose at Forced Inductions. In the center of the hood is a custom crafted Goertz (G1Pro) intake manifold. Rock Solid Motorsports is responsible for the turbo kit, and that includes the combo ice water bath in Read More

AWD GMC Syclone – Turbo LS Swap

August 21st, 2019

Is it the Darth Vader paint scheme? Is it the wide stance or the big tires? Could it be gapping Z06s in the half-mile? Maybe it’s the owner, Tom Joy? Tom can be irritating. He has a personalized tag plate – ‘nuff said. Is it the LS swap? Oh, that’s it. It’s the LS swap that makes this the most hated truck on the internet. Dedicated Cyclone (GMC) and Typhoon (Oldmobile) aficionados cringe when they see a guy like Tom yanking the turbocharged V6 in favor of a big V8. Trouble is that even the most rabid Cyclone fan can’t Read More

Superbowl of Street Racing

July 25th, 2019

Is this the biggest night of street racing all year? Maybe so. One thing is for sure; some of the heaviest hitters in roll racing have gathered (in Mexico) for this street racing extravaganza. The evening begins inside the BADCOBRA – a 1,200hp twin turbo Cobra Mustang. This thing is super-fast. When a ProCharged Corvette Z06 rolls alongside – it’s on like hotcakes. BADCOBRA FTW in multiple passes. Next up is BADCOBRA vs the midnight Corvette ZR1 (and some kind of speedy motorcycle). This time, the Chevy gets the jump and gaps BADCOBRA. Now a pair of rabid Nissans attack Read More

Twin Turbo CTS-V vs. 1000HP Supra – Street Hits

July 8th, 2019

Domestic versus Import – it just don’t get no better than that. Everything is on the line when vehicles built within the United States roll out against those built in Japan, Germany, the U.K. and all those other great nations. Tonight’s contest is just such an affair. Breaking all the rules tonight are a pair of heavily modified imports. The first is a Honda S2000 with a turbocharged 2JZ (Toyota) engine. It is capable of producing 1,200hp. Rolling out to his left is a 1,300hp Nissan GT-R, upgraded with a Boost Logic 1300 turbo system. The Honda is fast, but Read More

Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack – 1500HP VW Golf

July 2nd, 2019

This 1995 Volkswagen Golf GTi gives terms like “sequentially-shifted” and “all-wheel drive” new meaning. You see, this wild-looking VW manufactures 1,500hp with a pair of VR6 turbocharged engines (mated with a pair of sequentially-shifted manual transmissions) – one on each end! First, the engines. They are matching VR6 mills built with powder-forged connecting rods and JE pistons. Up top are Techtonics (solid lift) camshafts. Intake and exhaust manifolds are full custom with a pair of Garrett 67-millimeter turbochargers (air-to-water intercoolers) furnishing the air. The gearboxes are both from KAPS Sequential. Each engine makes approximately 750hp. The car is owned, built Read More

700-Miles In – Rocky Mountain Race Week – Day 3

June 21st, 2019

After a long day on the road yesterday, the racers are checking in at the Julesburg Drag Strip in Colorado. This is the oldest operating drag strip in the U.S. Bad news is that the weather is wet. Good news is that the rain is subsiding, and it has cooled things off a bit. Race cars like it cool. Racers are looking a little tattered 700-miles into this excursion. Nevertheless, there are some top-tier competitors gnashing on the bridle to get back on the track. There’s a stunning yellow Mustang that has undergone a terrible struggle. The alternator belt broke Read More
