July 21st, 2021

What we have here is a contest of speed, acceleration and braking that involves two of the most iconic sports cars in modern automobile history. Both these cars have long been mainstays in the performance car enthusiast community. Let’s get these two specimens out on the pavement and see what shakes out when the rubber hits the road.

Both these Japanese made masterpieces feature electronic torque vectoring all-wheel drive. While the Acura NSX institutes some very innovative technology, the Nismo GT-R holds fast to the proven layout that earned it the nickname “Godzilla”.

The NSX utilizes a twin turbocharged 3.5-liter internal combustion engine to propel the rear axle, and twin electric motors to drive the front axle. The combo is good for 573hp and the stock NSX can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1-seconds.

The GT-R is a front engine vehicle equipped with a 3.8-liter twin turbo V6. Godzilla can dart from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.0-seconds and is capable of producing 600hp.

You can almost feel the G-forces as these two road-rockets take to the track.
