Import vs Domestic – NighTTmare Mustang and 1100HP GT-R

December 7th, 2015

Import vs Domestic - NighTTmare Mustang and 1100HP GT-RIf there is anything that makes racing more fun it’s lining up against an import. The ongoing battle between modified imports and home-grown hot rods has been raging longer than radial tires have been standard equipment and it is more fierce than ever. With today’s more powerful factory cars, the most competitive racing between imports and domestics may be yet to come.

Here is a prime example: The NighTTmare Mustang Coyote is running a 5.0-liter MPR built engine with a beefed up 6R80 transmission and a pair of Gen2 6466 turbochargers (Hellion Kit). It has posted a best 1/4-mile time of 8.7-seconds @ 163 mph. The Nissan GT-R is the crème dela crème of Japanese muscle cars. This one has undergone substantial modifications (Alpha turbo kit) and power is estimated at 1,100hp. It has posted a trap speed of 162 mph in the 1/4-mile.

NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
