Stock 2021 Shelby GT500 vs. Big Turbo BMW 135i, Modified C6 Corvette and Porsche 911 Turbo S – Street Hits

January 28th, 2022

The 2021 Ford Mustang GT500 is the most capable pony car ever produced. With a supercharged (and intercooled) 5.2-liter engine, the GT500 can produce 760hp and 625 lb.-of torque. In factory condition, this version of the Mustang can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3-seconds and turn the quarter-mile in 9.3-seconds @ 155 mph. It weighs in at 4,183-pounds and has a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

The first car to challenge the GT500 is a BMW 135i with an upgraded turbo. The BMW jumps out early in the first hit before the Mustang tracks him down for the win. The second hit is all Ford.

Next to roll on the GT500 is a C6 Corvette with a souped-up LS3 motor. Again, the Chevy lunges out front and the Mustang rapidly hawks him in for the victory.

In the final hit of the evening, we have the GT500 rolling out against a Porsche 911 Turbo S. This is one of the best that Porsche has to offer. It has also been upgraded with high-flow exhaust downpipes and a performance tune. The Ford goes ahead at the jump and never looks back.

Bonus Race: This is a contest between the GT500 and a modified BMW M4. Good race.
