Greetings street racers and welcome to an undisclosed location south of the border for some high-intensity roll racing action.

Roll racing typically takes place on the freeway or interstate and involves at least two vehicles. Of course, light traffic is preferred. This often requires street racers to run during the late hours of evening/wee hours of morning. Racing begins as (at least) two racers align, in their respective lanes, and reach a predetermined vehicle speed (usually 60 mph). Racing is interrupted when one of the participants (the winner) reaches a predetermined top speed (usually 140 mph). It ain’t easy. If it were, everybody would be doing it – because it is really fun.

The competitors on-hand tonight are driving highly modified vehicles purpose-built for roll racing. Our first contestants for the evening are a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (800hp) and a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with a kit of nitrous. The Vette is too much for the Ford. Chevy takes an easy win.

Next, the Mustang lines up against a second pony car (with a VMP/TVS supercharger and a Coyote engine). Supercharged Coyote gaps the GT500 and gets the win.

In a close one – we have an 800hp Cadillac CTS-V sedan against the ZR1. The Caddy comes outta the hole hard and the race is neck-and-neck until the finish. It looks like the ZR1 edges him at the end, but I’ll let you decide.

There’s a run between an 1,100hp twin turbo Gen V Camaro and the ZR1 for the finale.
