Ported Blower Corvette vs. Big Turbo EVO – Street Hits

February 19th, 2024

The time is right for racing on the streets. Tonight, we have a pair of competitors prepared to take advantage of the night.

On the agenda is roll racing between a Mitsubishi Evolution and a Chevrolet C7 Corvette Z06. Each of the cars has been drastically modified to improve performance – in their own respective ways. Let’s take a look at the machines before they line up for roll racing at 60 mph.

Sometimes referred to as a Diamond Star Motors (DSM) sedan, the Mitsubishi EVO is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with a turbocharger. Featured in this video is an EVO that has been upgraded with an oversize turbo and a built engine. The manual transmission has also been replaced with a synchronized dog box. Make no mistake, this little sedan is fast.

In the other lane is a beast of a Chevrolet. Even the stock Corvette Z06 is a mechanical force of nature. Modified with a ported supercharger, a high-performance camshaft, a full accoutrement of bolt-ons and an E85 tune, this ‘Vette emits an exhaust note that is nothing less than life altering.

As these two street savages come up to speed, tensions run high and the call to start rings out. Both cars lurch forward in a blind rage of acceleration. The unmistakable stench of race fuel and burnt rubber permeate the night air. Only one can win, and nobody is yielding an inch of asphalt. Enjoy the action.
