Shaking things up on the streets tonight, we have a beast of a British sports car. He’s taking on the epitome of American performance machines. Both these rides have been modified to improve performance with a focus on roll racing. This should be a thrilling ride as the cameraman treats us to a passenger seat view.

The mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-passenger McLaren 720S is powered by a twin turbocharged 3.9-liter all-aluminum V8 motor capable of making 710hp and 568 lb.-ft. of torque, in stock condition. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8-seconds and sprint through the standing quarter-mile in 10.3-seconds @ 143 mph. Modifications to the McLaren featured in this video include performance downpipes and an E85 tune.

Running against the McLaren is a C7 (2014-2019) Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 under the hood. In factory trim this Chevy can make 650hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque at peak RPM. The stock Z06 could bolt from 0 to 60 mph in 2.95-seconds and eclipse the 1320 in 11.1-seconds @ 127.4 mph. Top speed is a computer controlled 196 mph. This Corvette has been upgraded with expert blower porting, upper and lower blower pulleys, a performance camshaft, exhaust headers and an E85 tune.
