This one is for Toby Vitatoe – the king of Kansas City street racing. Toby passed away a few years ago but his memory lives on in the heart of these competitors. With that in mind, let’s get down to where the rubber meets the road – in Mexico.

Immediately following the driver’s meeting, the lone Tesla P100 D Plaid was matched up against Carole Baskin in his Ford F-150 with a big block motor and twin turbochargers. The all-wheel drive (electric) Tesla took the early advantage and won by a car length over the rear-wheel drive pickup that failed to hookup efficiently.

In the second race of Round 1, we have a pair of Chevy S-10 pickups. It’s Speed Lee in the near lane and Scrap Metal in the far lane. Speed Lee got the hole shot and put a major gaptizing on Scrappy. It’s on to Round 2 for Lee.

The next race involves a sexy 1968 Chevy Camaro with a turbo setup against an S-10 pickup. The truck is also turbocharged. Wow! This one was a no contest as the Camaro was in a different zip code before the S-10 broke the tires loose.
