Mustang Massacre – Whipple GT500 vs. Big Turbo Fox Body

October 9th, 2019

Greetings street racers and speed freaks of every ilk. Prepare to take a gander at the most squared-away and best built Fox Body that you have ever seen. Tonight, he’s running on the streets (of Mexico) in some top tier roll racing action. Get in. Buckle up and hang on.

Easily, the hardest hitter of this group of three is the Fox Body. This bad girl is built Ford tough with Chevy stuff. Under the hood is a LS engine with an 88-millimeter (Turbosmart) turbocharger. A TH400 automatic transmission handles shifting duties. It is built and tuned by JMS Performance, and makes 1,100hp.

The Gen V Shelby Mustang GT500 has been upgraded (Drowzy Performance) with a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger and tuned by Lund Racing. This Mustang (Coyote powered) uses a manual transmission.

These two cars roll out first and go at each other in multiple hits. Starts could be more consistent, but this is some competitive heads-up roll racing.

Next up, a Corvette ZR1 shows up to take on the Fox Body. It is upgraded with a set of performance cylinder heads, a camshaft and a high flow intake manifold. It is built and tuned by Lethal Performance (Texas). Oh, it is also uses a 100hp shot of nitrous. The engine is capable of making 950hp.

Again, the Fox seems to jump the start and take it to the Corvette. Just a couple of Chevys, enjoying the night air down Mexico way.
