Two of the most powerful production cars to come out of Detroit are set to square-off in this well-produced video. By now, almost everyone has heard of the notorious Dodge Demon. The 808hp (717 lb.-ft. of torque) Demon is a drag race version of the Challenger Hellcat that is sold with a set of drag slicks for the rear and skinnies for the front. It even comes with a jack and a tool kit designed for pit work. It is truly purpose-built for drag racing.

On the other hand, the Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake Mustang is a bit less infamous. An enhanced version of the Mustang GT, the Super Snake features a (ported Whipple) supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine with an extreme cooling package and Borla performance exhaust. Maximum output is estimated at 825hp and 630 lb.-ft. of torque.

Let’s get these two American beauties on the track and see what jumps off.
