March 23rd, 2021

So, this modified Ford F-150 Lightning pickup has got a thing for this Dodge Demon. He wants a piece of him and has called him out on the dragstrip. It’s about to get down.

The Gen II Ford Lightning was a factory performance machine equipped with a supercharged 5.4-liter motor. It could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4-seconds. In stock trim the Lightning made only 380hp and 340 lb.-ft. of torque. The Lightning pickup featured in this video has been modified for the sole purpose of drag and street racing. He’ll have his hands full with the Dodge Demon.

The Demon comes with a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI engine that can churn out 840hp (770 lb.-ft. of torque) on racing fuel. It can launch from 0 to 60 mph in 2.1-seconds and turn the quarter-mile in 9.54-seconds @ 140 mph. Top speed is 204 mph.

With the Demon in the right lane, the lights drop, and the Lightning takes an early jump. Near the halfway point, the Demon drives around the pickup and gets the victory.
