1100HP Honda S2000 – World Cup Finals

December 3rd, 2019

Greetings drag racing fans and gearheads from all walks of life. Welcome to the Haltech World Cup Finals Import vs Domestic from Maryland International Raceway. Meet Stuart Leiby and his 2007 Honda S2007. Stuart and his crew have made a name for themselves in the roll racing segment with a good showing at TX2K19 from way down in Houston. Today, he thinks he is ready for a bit of dig racing.

After a successful qualifying session, we drop in to find Stuart and crew attempting to “kick start” the S2000 after the starter took a dump just prior to eliminations. The guys (and girls) keep pushing until the car finally starts (fourth attempt) – and then the driver allows it to stall at the start line and Stuart’s day is over but not before he posts a new personal best quarter-mile pass of 8.23-seconds @ 170 mph. Ah, you gotta love it – the luck of the Irish.

Good thing he had some bonus footage.

Under the hood is a stock F22 block with a stock crankshaft. The pistons are Diamond and the rods are powder. The cylinder head is prepared by Watt’s Shop in Lavon, Texas and it has a Xona Rotor 68-millimeter turbo. Output is estimated at 1,033hp on 42 psi of boost. This car and this kid have a ton of potential.
