Street Racing: Supercharged Mustang vs. SRT Viper T/A

June 30th, 2015

Street Racing Supercharged Mustang vs SRT Viper TAFor as long as there have been muscle cars, Ford and Dodge have been battling on the street. Smaller, lighter, small block powered Mustangs going head to head against larger, more powerful Dodges with massive big block HEMI engines, are what made street racing what it is today.

This video shows a 2015 Ford Mustang GT with a blown 5.0-liter V8. The supercharger is a 2.3-liter VMP Gen2. Fuel is delivered via a Lund Racing Tuner using Injector Dynamics ID1000 fuel injectors, a stock fuel pump, and a booster. American Racing Headers and exhaust removes spent gases and a McLeod racing clutch delivers power to the manual transmission. Horsepower is estimated at 650 (to the rear wheels). The mighty Viper only has a cat-back high-flow exhaust system, performance tuner, aftermarket intake, and exhaust headers. It is rated at approximately 750hp.
