Street Battle – Dodge Viper vs. Porsche 911

March 16th, 2017

Hello drag racing fans and speed enthusiasts of every variety and welcome to an epic contest between pure performance and overwhelming finesse. This competition transcends the long-time rivalry between imported and domestic vehicles and steps over into a realm where handcrafted elegance meets homespun horsepower.

Before I get any deeper into the cars, this contest is taking place on a sunny stretch of highway south of the border. The action is of the roll racing variety. There are multiple passes and multiple camera angles.

As you have probably deduced by now, the beast part of this equation is a 2016 Dodge Viper ACR Extreme tuned by Mr. V10, Dick Winkles (chief powertrain engineer for Chrysler). The massive V10 engine is equipped with Arrow cylinder heads and camshafts, American Racing exhaust headers, and a Viper Exchange titanium exhaust system. It is truly a beast and it sounds amazing.

The beauty portion is a German treasure. The Porsche 911 Turbo S is possibly one of the baddest sports cars ever produced by Ferdinand and the boys. This particular car has been upgraded with a ByDesign Stage 4 turbocharger Kit with AMS intercoolers. It is tuned by Sam at ByDesign. As you can see in the video, this flower doesn’t wilt in the face of competition.

Great video and even better cars!
