Soccer Mom Assault Vehicle – Jeep Trackhawk

March 13th, 2018

What better way to take the edge off a stressful week than to hit the drag strip in your daily driver? Especially if your grocery-getter is a 707hp (645 lb.-ft. of torque) Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

The track is the legendary Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Maryland. It’s opening day when mom rolls up with a full-face, pink helmet and a child seat in the back. With factory launch control and an all-wheel drivetrain, she is equipped to spank some keester.

The Trackhawk utilizes the same engine as the Hellcat. It’s a supercharged (2.4-liter IHI) 6.2-liter V8, running 11.6 psi of boost. The all-wheel drivetrain is supported with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, along with reinforced axles and driveshafts on both ends. Forged steel sprockets and beefier housings enable the transmission/transfer case and differentials to withstand the extreme horsepower and torque generated by the big engine.

This soccer mom has got that thousand-yard stare. She’s looking for her next victim. Don’t let it be you!
