Big Three Battle on the Street

August 18th, 2016

Big Three Battle on the Street 01Here’s a battle between Chevrolet, Dodge, and Ford (respectfully in alphabetical order), that takes place on the streets of an abandoned Mexican town. All three cars have manual transmissions and all three are bone stock. The racing is of the roll variety and the GoPro equipment is plentiful. That makes for some great looks at these amazing cars.

The bright yellow coupe is the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. This is the Chevy flagship and it comes with a 6.2-liter supercharged and direct fuel injected V8 engine (dry sump oiling system) mated to a 7-speed Active Rev Matching manual transmission. The final drive gear ratio is 3.42:1 and the rear differential is equipped with its own cooler. The Z06 is basically a race car with a factory warranty and 650hp/650 lb-ft. of torque.

The Green Machine is an instant classic – a 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat. This car is the most powerful American made production coupe ever and yes, that includes all those legendary muscle cars of yesteryear. Under the hood is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that is capable of producing 707hp.

Finally, you have the 2014 Ford Mustang GT500. This car probably provides the best value for your money.  It is well heeled with a supercharged 5.8-liter V8 and a 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive. It makes 662hp and 631 lb-ft. of torque.

Who wins it? You’ll have to check out the action for yourself!

NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
