Dodge Charger Hellcat vs. LS1 Mustang

Charger Hellcat vs LS1 MustangThere ain’t anything that makes my Monday like some street racing from the Lone Star State. Unfortunately, for the owner of this (Chevy LS1 powered) Mustang Foxbody, he is about to get introduced to Mom’s grocery-getter. Mom’s car is a bone-stock bright yellow sedan with street tires. So, I can only imagine how distraught the Ford driver must feel, after swapping the stock motor for a much improved Bowtie engine then replacing the stock rear-end for what appears to be a narrowed Ford 9-inch (with some fat rubber) and trailering his ride to an industrial park deep into the night, to get whipped two-out-of-three-times by a sedan with a personalized license plate that reads “MOMS CAR”.

Then again, maybe not – if you consider that Mom’s car is the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, with 707-supercharged-and-intercooled-horsepower. It packs a 6.2-liter Hemi engine and TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. It is good for 11.0-second 1/4-mile passes and has a top speed of 204 mph.

NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
