1000HP Hellcat Tears Up the Streets

August 16th, 2016

1000HP Hellcat Tears Up the StreetsThis Dodge Charger Hellcat is currently on a bit of a high horse – High Horse Performance, that is. The team at HHP helped this driver squeeze 1,000hp (950whp) from his 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI by adding a Diablosport tuner, a 2.85 crank pulley, a Green serpentine belt, a cat delete package, a set of Nitto NT 555R drag radials, and a nitrous kit.

In factory trim the Hellcat Charger is touted as the baddest production sedan ever made. The 6.2-liter HEMI V8 makes 707hp and 650 lb-ft. of torque.

Tonight, he is out trolling the streets for some action and he finds it in the form of a C5 Corvette Z06. The ‘Vette has also been modified with a V3 Procharger, a set of exhaust headers, full racing exhaust, and a set of Nitto drag radials. Horsepower is undisclosed but it rolls off the assembly line with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 (not a HEMI) making 650hp and 650 lb-ft. of torque.

Tonight’s racing is of the roll variety; starting at around 60 mph. Unfortunately, the guy in the Chevy seems to have a cheating problem (watch the video) but the Hellcat has the power to prevail. The Mopar spanks the C5 with and without the giggle-juice. Check it out for yourself.

NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
