Nitrous Injected 6.0-liter Porsche

June 22nd, 2017

This is what I call making the best out of a bad situation.

When this gentleman’s Porsche Carrera blew up the engine, he was faced with paying a heavy price to replace it with (even) a used Porsche mill. It’s a good thing for him that (only) one aftermarket manufacturer is offering an adapter kit that allows for an LS engine swap. You use the factory Porsche transmission and bolt in the Chevy V6 or V8 of your choice.

You would never know that this dreamy little German import is packing a 6.0-liter LQ9 punch. Yes, the engine is from a Cadillac Escalade. It has all the bolt-ons, as well as cylinder head and camshaft upgrades. It’s also got a high performance intake manifold and (of course) custom exhaust headers/system. The owner states that it is making about 430hp (all motor). That brings us to the power-adder. It has a 100-shot of go-go juice too. That’s 530hp from a lightweight, rear-engine, rear-drive street car.

This car is a true sleeper up to the point that you hear the exhaust note. It sounds amazing.

This guy lays down some 7-second passes on street tires. Check it out.
