Import Street Shootout – Roll and Dig

September 14th, 2016

import-street-shootout-roll-and-digThe increasing availability of turbochargers to the sport of street racing has forever changed the face of what is arguably the most popular motorized sport in America. Despite competitors being forced to take their high performance dramas south of the border (for legal reasons), street racers continue to blow their top when it comes to modifying their machines for maximum performance and optimum horsepower.

This clip runs the gambit from high-dollar exotic sports cars to good old domestic muscle. It opens up with a majestic Porsche 911 Turbo S, with an upgraded turbocharger, a high performance intake manifold, high performance exhaust, and an aftermarket tuner, that plans on taking on the world. Let’s see how he fares.

The action begins with the Porsche roll racing against a red Nissan GT-R (running E85 fuel, with turbo upgrades, an EcuTek controller, and all the bolt-ons). Roll and dig, the Porsche lays the smack-down. Next, we have a 650whp Supra with a GT40 turbocharger and a TH400 automatic transmission against a souped up RX-7. The Toyota wins handily. Then there’s a sweet looking black and blue Mustang Shelby GT500 (called Poison) with a Kenne Bell supercharger, full bolt-ons, and a shot of nitrous (not used) rolling against the Porsche. You may be surprised, so I’ll let you check that one out for yourself. There’s also a blown Camaro ZL1 and a blue GT-R interacting on a Mexican highway.

NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
