Porsche vs. Lamborghini – Rolling Airstrip Attack

September 14th, 2016

porsche-vs-lamborghini-rolling-airstrip-attackIt just don’t get any better than this! Here is a video that captures some of the baddest exotic supercars on the planet; locked in on the finish line in a battle of outright acceleration to top speed. If you love ultra expensive performance autos, then the cockpit view (from the front seat of a Porsche 991 Turbo S Mk II) will have you white-knuckling the proverbial dash all the way to the end and the setting for the airstrip is absolutely pristine. So, what is left to vex my troubled brow? How about a third pass – because one-and-one leaves me with more questions than answers.

For car enthusiasts, like myself, the Porsche 991 Turbo S Mk II is legendary. I’ll run through this quickly because Porsche numbers can get tricky. The 991 is a 911. Settle down – like I said, tricky – the 991 is an internal designation for the seventh generation 911. The Turbo S designation yields a 3.8-liter twin turbocharged engine capable of producing 580hp and bolting from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3-seconds. Top speed is roughly 200 mph.

The Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 is nobody’s huckleberry either. It packs a 602hp punch from a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine and it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in a jaw-dropping 2.5-seconds (and it’s all-wheel drive). You don’t want to miss this clip.
