Nitrous vs. Turbo – Viper vs. Mustang

August 26th, 2016

Nitrous vs. Turbo - Viper vs. MustangThis black beauty of a Fox Body Mustang is making 1,100whp with a 363 cubic-inch aluminum Dart Racing engine, high performance cylinder heads, and a massive 83-millimeter turbocharger. It’s putting those ponies to the ground with a built automatic racing transmission. After spending a day at the track, and posting an 8.64-second ET at 159.19 mph, the pony car takes to the streets looking for some action.

If you are looking for action, chances are that you will find some. This time it comes in the form of a burnt orange Viper SRT. The Dodge Viper SRT is producing 972whp. It is running a stock 8.0-liter engine and a manual transmission (with a stock clutch). It has exhaust headers and a 350-shot of nitrous. Look out world – the proverbial crap is about to hit the purported fan.

It’s roll racing; by the look of things, I’d say about a 60 mph start. There are many GoPro angles and some outstanding shots. The Viper jumps out hard initially and it appears that he’s about to walk the ‘Stang but wait – what is this? Could the Mustang be roaring back? Take a look at the video and find out.

NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
