Half-Mile Airstrip Attack – 1700HP Porsche Goes 220 MPH

September 11th, 2021

Meet the pros from AIM Performance. These guys are to Porsche performance what a pig is to barbecue. Everything. Today they are working the kinks out of a colleague’s 911 before they ship it home. Three characteristics standout about this Porsche. It’s right-hand drive. It’s all-wheel drive. It’s awfully fast.

Of course, the Porsche 911 is a rear-engine all-wheel drive machine. This one has been upgraded (stroked) from a 3.8-liter to a 4.1-liter engine. The motor is fully built and enhanced with a pair of Precision 6870 turbochargers. The gearbox is a Hewland sequential and the car is owned by ES Motor.

Fresh off the trailer, the Porsche posts a top speed of 210 mph. Pretty impressive effort but not up to the personal best of 228 mph from earlier this year.

Second pass is a definite improvement over the first. He manages a 216 mph pass with lots more boost in reserve.

We had a treat for the third pass. Kyle (1320 Video) lined up his AMS built Audi R8 (1400whp) against this radical Porsche. This time the Porsche runs a 224.55 mph pass to Kyle’s 199.64 mph effort. Kyle has a fast Audi but this Porsche is on a different level.
