Ferrari 812 Superfast – Track Testing

July 28th, 2017

As a replacement for the beloved Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the 812 Superfast had to be something really special. It is that and much more.

This front engine rear-wheel drive Italian beauty is all-new and offered at a sticker price of just over $300K.

Power is garnered from a 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine. In typical Ferrari fashion, it easily revs to 8,900 RPM and is capable of producing 789hp (8,500 RPM) and 530 lb.-ft. of torque (7,000 RPM). It boasts a top speed of 211 mph and can rocket from a stand still to 60 mph in only 2.8-seconds. Even more impressive, it can get to 124 mph in only 7.9-seconds. by the way – it runs a 10.8-second quarter-mile – right out of the box.

Join professional driver Steve Sutcliffe as he gets the distinct privilege of taking the Ferrari 812 Superfast onto the track for a thorough session.

With nearly 800hp at his command, Steve can scarcely conceal his excitement as he expertly puts the Ferrari through its paces. Despite being an extremely powerful, rear-wheel drive beast, the 812 is surprisingly refined. The electronically controlled rear-differential and power steering certainly take some of the bite out of this beast.
