1400HP Acura vs. 1300HP Nissan GT-R – Drag Racing

November 8th, 2022

These are two very scary pieces of machinery. There are two phrases that warn of impending doom for the competition. They are English Racing and Extreme Turbo Systems (ETS). This Acura is closely associated with both. T1 Race Development are no slouches either. They built the Nissan GT-R. Needless to say, we are in for quite a drag race today. The 1994 Acura Integra GSR is outfitted with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a 4-speed manual (PPG with a billet bell housing) gearbox. It has been modified with an all-wheel drivetrain from a variety of Honda SUVs. The motor is Read More

Extreme Drag Racing – New GT-R World Record

November 2nd, 2019

That’s right! They did it again! Extreme Turbo Systems (ETS) and English Racing have teamed up to bring the Nissan GT-R (Quarter-mile) World Record home to the United States. Maryland International Raceway (Budds Creek, Maryland) is the sight of 2019 Import vs Domestic World Cup Finals. This spectacular event suddenly morphs into a world record busting bonanza when the ETS GT-R scampers down the track in 6.56-seconds @ 225.15 mph. That knocks 2/100ths of a second off the time set by the Alpha Logic GT-R on February 15, 2019 in Dubai, U.A.E. The ETS Nissan is obviously radically modified with Read More

900HP Subaru – Journey to the 8-Second Quarter-Mile

August 19th, 2019

I got mad respect for this father/son team representing Cuba. Pops has been a technician for more than sixty-years. He got junior started early in the engine building game and it’s finally paying off. The two have combined their resources on this 900hp Subaru with outstanding results. Like most of us, they are looking to shave time from their next pass down the strip. Today, these guys are looking for that elusive 8-second pass in the quarter-mile. Their 2005 Subaru WRX STi is a work of art. With hundreds of passes in the books, this Fuji Heavy Industries stud comes Read More

Dirty Racing – 8-Second Subaru WRX

April 22nd, 2019

So, we talked to Rick Wilson about the Patriot, a 2004 Subaru WRX built (in house) by Dirty Racing Products (DRP). Using IAG Case Halves, DRP upgraded the 2-liter boxer engine to a 2.5-liter, with a Manley crankshaft, Manley connecting rods, and Manley pistons. Headgames cylinder heads are equipped with GSC Stage 3 camshafts and Ferrea valvetrain components. E85 fuel is delivered using an Aeromotive brushless pump with fuel injectors from T1 and Injector Dynamics (ID). The Patriot is still on a stock (tuned) ECU. New U.S. GT-R Quarter-Mile Record

March 22nd, 2019

Hello fellow racing fans! Join me in congratulating car owner Gidi Chamdi, ETS (Extreme Turbo Systems), and English Racing in setting the new U.S. Record for a Nissan GT-R, in the quarter-mile (elapsed time and top speed). With a 6.73-second pass @ 223 mph, on day two of TX2K19, the cast and crew of the Alpha G car managed to dive deeper into the sixes and accomplish a feat that no one ever had in a GT-R on a U.S. drag strip. The ETS car is owned and piloted by an extremely fit, pitbull of a race driver known as Read More

1500HP ETS Nissan GT-R Street Monster

March 5th, 2019

Prepared by Top Speed Motorsports, this pavement eating monster of a 2017 Nissan GT-R is ravenous on the track and respectable on the street. In breaking with the Godzilla moniker, Andrew’s GT-R more closely resembles the Hulk. Calm and cordial David Banner by day, but you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry. This car is running a prototypical stock turbo manifold kit from ETS. The engine is a 3.8-liter V6 with a billet crankshaft. The intake manifold is a dual-injector unit from AMS with some ID fuel injectors. The controller is a MoTec unit tuned by Taylor Lear and the Read More

GT-R Record Assault – ETS and Gidi Join Forces

February 14th, 2019

Extreme Turbo Systems (ETS) and Gidi Chamdi (one of the fastest men to ever climb into a Nissan GT-R) have teamed up to produce an all-new GT-R entry that not only boasts 3,000hp, but also figures to be a factor in the back-and-forth saga of GT-R World Record Quarter-Mile passes. Despite being a fresh build, Gidi and the ETS crew post a 7.24-second elapsed time (@ 191 mph) on the very first pass. Decades of experience and a wealth of racing knowledge certainly helped to put the new car within .750-seconds of a GT-R World Record – on the very Read More

9-Second EVO – Dragstrip and AWD Dyno

August 26th, 2018

Ran across this crushing orange EVO 8 at the 2018 Diamond Star Motors (DSM) Shootout in Ohio. Kasey was understandably proud of this build and managed to put up low-nine-second passes all day with a best (ever) of 9.29-seconds @ 155 mph. Here’s the rundown on this awesome looking 2003 EVO: At the heart of this beast is a 2.3-liter 4G63 engine built by Buschur Racing with a Manley crankshaft and connecting rods (pistons are by JE). The cylinder head is a BZE (CNC) unit with a set of GSC Power Division S3 camshafts. An Extreme Turbo Systems (ETS) turbo Read More
