Greetings drag racing fans and speed enthusiasts from every ilk. Remember Westin Champlin and his turbo diesel Gen VI Mustang? Well, he’s back and looking to beef his Smoke-Stang up to the next level.

How – you might ask – do you improve upon a late model Ford Mustang with a 5.9-liter inline 6-cylinder turbo diesel? Obviously, you add a second turbo to the mix! Opting to go the economy route, Wes found himself a used turbocharger from a semi-truck. He then purchased a turbocharger installation kit from Evil Performance. With only a few modifications, the second turbocharger was installed and the hood was destined for removal.

What’s next nitrous? Maybe a methanol injection system? How about just a larger radiator?

Last of all, Big Westin is secured behind the wheel and the rolling coal burnouts begin. Whoa! Look at that cloud of smoke! I can’t wait to see what happens when the Smoke-Stang hits the track in full-on drag racing action.
