Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG vs. BMW M3 Competition – Street Hits

January 26th, 2024

Tonight, we get right in the wheelhouse for European road cars. There will be roll racing on the interstate in Mexico. Top tier hot rods from Mercedes-Benz and BMW will slug it out in the cool night air as street racers gather and do what street races do.

In the left lane is the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG 507. So, the 507 variant of the AMG C63 means special forged rims and a 507hp 6.2-liter naturally aspirated all-aluminum V8 engine. This rear-wheel drive coupe can accelerate from 0 t0 60 mph in 3.9-seconds and turn the standing quarter-mile in 12.3-seconds @ 117 mph. The transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Featured in this video is a slightly modified C63. Enhancements include performance exhaust, aftermarket filters and an E85 tune.

On the other hand, the 2021 BMW M3 Competition is bone stock. Under the hood of this rear-wheel drive sedan is a twin turbocharged all-aluminum inline 6-cylinder 3.0-liter motor mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The BMW can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5-seconds and eclipse the 1320 in 11.6-seconds @ 124 mph.

It should be interesting to see who gets the win in this battle of Bavarian behemoths.
