Edmunds Inside Line put a McLaren MP4-12C on the Dyno to see how much power the super car is really making.  The McLaren was a bit troublesome to dyno at the beginning due to the electronic limiters on the car not liking how the rear wheels were spinning with the fronts stationary, but eventually they were able put the power down.   The McLaren’s 3.8L V8 Twin Turbo put down 512 horsepower and 415 ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheels through it’s double clutch transmission.  Using a 15% driveline loss that puts the car at around 604 horsepower which is a little higher than it’s 592 horsepower rating.

An earlier test by Inside Line had this McLaren running 0-60 MPH in just 3.2 seconds and running the 1/4 mile at 11.01 @ 131.5 MPH.
