Check out this race from the StreetCarDrags.com event this past Sunday with a Porsche 918 Spyder running against a McLaren 650S Spider at Palm Beach International Raceway.   The 918 Spyder with it’s 887HP 4.6L V8 along with electric motors ran a very impressive 9.8 @ 145 MPH with it’s all wheel drive and dual clutch transmission.  The McLaren 650S struggled off the line spinning the tires with it’s 641HP 3.8L V8 Twin Turbo and rear wheel drive setup running 10.9 @ 134 MPH although it’s best run of the day was 10.3 @ 137.5 MPH.

We believe this is the quickest real world 1/4 mile pass at a drag strip for 918 Spyder (9.8 @ 145 MPH) as well as the quickest completely stock McLaren on factory provided OEM tires on it’s 10.3 @ 137.5 MPH pass.  The Porsche 918 Spyder has been quite the automotive investment, while they originally sold new for around $900k, they are currently listed at $1.6M or more as per the 918 Spyder listings on duPont Registry.
