Corvette Street Extravaganza – High-Profile Street Hits

October 19th, 2022

What happens when a dozen (or so) Corvettes show up in a remote location (down in Mexico)? A race breaks out, that’s what. This clip documents just such an event. While supercharged ‘Vettes are well represented, Corvettes with turbocharged, nitrous injected and naturally aspirated powerplants are on hand as well. There’s something for everyone.

First up is a contest between a pair of modified ZR1s. The gray car (right lane) is running a Kong ported blower, performance cylinder heads, a performance camshaft and a beefed-up fuel system. The orange car has been modified with an upgraded camshaft, performance cylinder heads and Synergy 2300 porting (heads, intake and blower). Both cars are claiming approximately 1,000hp. This race gets started at 60 mph. Both cars blast off to 100 mph in the blink of an eye before the orange car misses a gear. His race is over.

On the next hit, the orange car jumps early. The gray car accelerates to 175 mph before he catches him. These guys want a win badly.

Loads more Corvette-on-Corvette action on this clip. Enjoy.
