Big Booty Judy – 1953 Ford F100 Restomod

March 8th, 2024

Did you see the wagon she’s dragging? Oh, that’s Big Booty Judy a longtime father-and-son project that has finally reached maturity. Big Booty Judy (BBJ) is looking good and feeling good with a modern powertrain and enough nostalgic essence to stop traffic.

Under the hood of BBJ is a small block Ford stroked out to 347 cubic-inches and outfitted with a set of Canfield aluminum cylinder heads. On top is a Holley Sniper (throttle body) fuel injection setup. Those funky looking solenoids represent a 175hp shot of nitrous to help this pickup get out of the hole. On motor alone, she’s making approximately 525hp. Add the laughing gas and the real fun begins. The exhaust is composed of a set of shorty headers and 3-inch stainless steel pipes out the rear (with an x-pipe). It sounds great.

Shifting duties are carried out via a 4R70W automatic transmission and the Ford 9-inch rear end carries a set of 4.11:1 gears.

The chassis is Frankensteined between the stock front rails and Applied Suspension Technologies in the rear. It rides on air bags with plenty of juice and some big reservoirs. The front suspension is a Fat Man Fabrications Mustang II setup with rack-and-pinion steering. The rear suspension is custom built.

Those bright red wheels are 24-inch billet aluminum units from U.S. Mag wheels. They match the red accents found on the exterior of the truck. The main paint color is from a 2017 Ford. It’s called Radiant Silver and it is pristine. Only the doors are original sheet metal. All the other panels are new.

Inside you have all the modern creature comforts, including premium audio, cold air conditioning and cutting-edge instrumentation.
