1500HP TT Silverado Terrorizes the Streets

August 3rd, 2017

Despite the fact that they often have problems getting hooked-up, I dearly love fast pickup trucks.

Another thing that I hold near and dear is street racing down the (Mexico) interstate on a warm summer night. As much as I love dig racing – there are times when I just need to cut loose and feel the wind in what’s left of my hair.

This video combines these two things; pickup trucks and roll racing down the interstate on a warm summer night. Add some sophisticated GoPro camera equipment and multiple camera angles and you end up with a top-quality production.

The pickup is a twin turbocharged (71-millimeter) Chevrolet Silverado with a 388 cubic-inch engine. This truck has the distinction of being the world record holder for highest horsepower using a stock powertrain control module (PCM). There is a dyno test near the beginning of the video and this Chevy posts a max horsepower of 1,502.

Even with all that power, this evening of roll racing will be quite a challenge for this cowboy Cadillac. Check out the action as the feature truck tangles with several high-powered nitrous injected machines. You can almost feel the wind in your hair.
