blue-devil-zr1-menacing-the-streetsI have said it before, and I’ll probably say it again, if you love fast cars then you’ll like this video and if you love Corvettes then you will love it. This particular Corvette is at the top of the food chain, as far a ‘Vettes go. It is the iconic ZR1 – also called the Blue Devil.

The C6 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is well equipped from the factory with an LS9 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that makes 638hp and 595 lb.-ft. of torque. Top speed is an electronically controlled 205 mph. It also has a six-speed, race hardened, close ratio, manual transmission with a high capacity dual disc clutch system. The Magnetic Selective Ride Control system and race ready suspension provides more than 1g of cornering grip and it is equipped with carbon ceramic drilled disc brakes on each end. Specially designed (19-inch front and 20-inch rear) wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires finish out what is basically a 3,350-pound race car with a factory warranty.

The Fasterpmros modified ZR1 in this video has a full accoutrement of bolt-ons, ported supercharger, methanol injection, upgraded camshaft and cylinder heads, and upgraded pulleys on the crank and blower. This outstanding combination is good for a dyno proven 820whp and it has a best 1/4-mile ET of 9.6-seconds @ 148 mph. This car remains comfortably streetable and is capable of whipping everything from muscle cars to imports and even some modified street bikes. There’s a lot of street roll racing action, a drag strip dig run, and a dyno run on this clip.
