Tesla Cybertruck vs. Ford F-150 Raptor R – Drag Race

December 27th, 2023

This video captures the drag race between the brand-new Tesla Cybertruck (Cyberbeast Edition) and the maniacal Ford F-150 Raptor R. Having already whipped the Hummer EV and the Lamborghini Urus, the Cyberbeast is eager to torch another competitor. Let’s kick the tires on these monsters before they take to the track.

Of course, the all-wheel drive Tesla Cyberbeast is powered by a trio of electric motors that can generate the equivalent of 845hp. At a curb weight of 6,799-pounds, the Cyberbeast is a heavy pig. Don’t get it twisted, this monster can still accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.6-seconds and turn the 1320 in 11-seconds @ 112 mph. In keeping with the pickup truck theme, the Cyberbeast rides on 35-inch-tall tires, has the capacity to achieve 17.4-inches of ground clearance and tow 11,000-pounds. This awkward looking thing is indeed a quiet beast.

On to the gas-burner; the Ford F-150 Raptor R is the top of the line for Ford pickups. Under the hood is a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 capable of producing 700hp. The big V8 is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Raptor R can clear the standing quarter-mile in 12.0-seconds @ 112 mph and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1-seconds. A set of 37-inch (tall) all-terrain tires are standard. At a curb weight of 5,959-pounds, the Raptor R can achieve 11-inches of ground clearance and tow 8,700-pounds.

Time to line these Cowboy Cadillacs up see what jumps off. It should be entertaining.
