ProCharged C6 Corvette vs BMW M3 Upgraded Turbos – Street Hits

December 22nd, 2022

Our guy Frank is back on the streets. He found a great race between a modified Corvette and a souped-up BMW M3. Both these cars are fine tuned and ready to run. We can catch up with them on the interstate – in Mexico.

The C6 (2006-2013) Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was originally sold with the LS7 7.0-liter. Key attributes of the LS7 included a dry sump oiling system and titanium alloy connecting rods. The naturally aspirated V8 was capable of producing 505hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. According to Car and Driver Magazine, the stock C6 Z06 could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6- seconds and turn the quarter-mile in in 11.7-seconds at 125 mph. This car has been modified with a set of aluminum cylinder heads from Late Model Engines (LME), a performance camshaft and an E85 tune. Oh, it’s also ProCharged.

On the import side, the BMW M3 is a luxury performance sedan. Equipped with a twin turbocharged inline 6-cylinder 3.0-liter engine, the stock M3 could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4-seconds flat and cover the quarter-mile in 12.7-seconds at 121 mph. The turbo 6-cylinder could churn out 425hp and 405 lb.-ft. of torque. Featured in this video is an M3 that has been modified with turbocharger upgrades and an E85 tune.

Now let’s race!
