Lone Star Street Rolls

February 24th, 2018

It has been said that everything grows bigger in Texas. The group of cars featured in this clip guarantee that this slogan also applies to street racing, in the largest state of the union. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at a typical night of street (roll) racing down in Texas, Mexico.

The first, in what will prove to be an illustrious list of killer street machines, is our camera car. It is a modified Cadillac CTS-V Sedan with a set of drag slicks on the rear. It has been upgraded (under the hood) with a set of high performance cylinder heads, camshaft, and supercharger porting. Skilled practitioners are doing some great things by simply porting the superchargers on 6.2-liter engines. Increasing air-flow efficiency in these Lingenfelter blowers can seriously impact engine performance in a positive way.

Next up is a Ford Mustang with a Paxton Novi 2200 supercharger and an automatic transmission. Power is estimated to be 670hp at the rear wheels. There is a C6 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 with a high performance exhaust system and a performance tune. There is another Sixth Gen Ford Mustang (680hp); this time with a pair of turbochargers. Finally, there’s a Cadillac CTS-V Coupe with a high performance camshaft and full bolt-ons.

When these cars roll onto the interstate – it’s utter pandemonium. You don’t want to miss this one.
