Corvette vs. Hayabusa – Street Rolls

December 19th, 2017

While I am always down for a trip to North Carolina (because it is one of the most beautiful and friendliest states in the U.S.), if you add some excellent roll racing, I am chomping at the bit to go.

Only a few short years ago, cars didn’t race high-performance street bikes. The bikes were just too fast. With the recent trend towards superchargers, turbochargers, and more efficient nitrous kits, cages can hang with a few hot street bikes – providing that the two-wheelers aren’t running a power adder.

As usual, the fine folks of the Tar Heel State turned out and brought their fastest roll racers (down to Mexico). There are several supercharged Corvette entrants, a (1,000+hp) twin turbocharged Ford Mustang, a turbo (LS swapped) Mazda RX-7, and the Camo Hellcat (1,000hp) even makes a surprise appearance. Oh, and don’t forget the Suzuki Hayabusa.

When these competitors take to the streets – look out – it’s pandemonium! Take a gander for yourself.
