Ferrari 458 Spider vs. Lamborghini Super Trofeo Stradale Roll Racing

April 20th, 2015

ferrari-458-vs-lamborghini-super-trofeoThis is the automotive equivalent of an Italian civil war. Take a look at this rolling closed track race between a 2015 Ferrari 458 Spider and a 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale.

The two supercars are nearly the exact same color. In short, they look alike, sound alike; they even have a similar power-to-weight-ratio. The Ferrari is equipped with a direct fuel injected and naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 that cranks out 596-horsepower at a whopping 9,000 RPMs. The Lambo uses a much larger 5.2-liter V10 to extrapolate 570-horsepower at 8,000 RPMs. Both cars are electronically relegated to a top-speed of 199 mph (must be an Italian thing). The Ferrari uses a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission while the LP570-4 delivers power to the four corners via a six-speed e-gearbox.

While the Spider comes in at 3,384-pounds, the Super Trofeo tips the scales at 3,350-pounds. Both cars are very expensive and both can achieve a speed of 60 mph from a dead stop in around 3-seconds.
