8-Second Twin Turbo FoxBody Mustang

October 3rd, 2018

Greetings drag racing fans and fellow speed freaks from every sport. Please allow me to introduce Mark and his 1,000hp Ford Mustang.

Yes, it’s a FoxBody and, not only is it one of the fastest street cars in the country, it’s also one of the most amazing – from an aesthetic point of view.

No LS motor here; not even a modular. Under the hood is a 5.8-liter (351W) small block Ford with a set of hi-rise cylinder heads that have been ported and polished to the point that you can almost see into the combustion chamber. This is a twin turbo car with a pair of Precision 7675s on it. The turbo kit is custom and there is chrome, paint, and more chrome – everywhere! He’s got a Strange Fab9 rear end, Fuel Tech EFI, custom wiring harness, and a TH400 transmission (knew we’d get some Chevy stuff in there).

The action begins on the track; where our feature car posts an 8.90-second pass @ 154 mph (solo).

After that, it’s time to climb on-board and rip up the streets (of Mexico). In the passenger compartment it is all business with a full roll cage and Recarro racing seats with four-point harnesses. This thing is schuweet. You don’t want to miss this ride-along.
