500HP Mercedes-Benz GTS vs 480HP Lexus RCF

October 12th, 2015

500HP Mercedes-Benz GTS vs 480HP Lexus RCFIf you are wild about street racing (as I am), then you have to see this head-to-head battle between a stodgy European coupe and a luxurious Japanese coupe. Both have significant upgrades under the hood. The GTS is running a twin turbo setup that yields approximately 500hp. The Lexus is also well heeled with the latest bolt-ons and he claims to be running 480hp.

This race is run in three segments; a dig race, a 15 mph take-of, and a 40 mph take-off. In the dig race the Lexus actually gets a slight advantage out of the hole but the Mercedes-Benz quickly hawks him in. In the 15 mph rolling start the Benz is out front from the start and just pulls further away with every foot. I really don’t know why they even bothered with the 40 mph start after the GTS spanked the RCF so handily in the previous race. It is a one-sided contest, to say the least.

NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
