So, ever wonder what $187,400 will buy you? One thing is a lightweight, high-powered, British sports car; more specifically, the 2016 McLaren 570S. If you would like to know what it’s made of, this video takes us back to Mazda’a Laguna Seca Raceway for another round of the 2016 Best Driver’s Car from Motor Trend and Mother’s.

The latest 570S offering begins with a genuine carbon-fiber center section and a 562hp (443lb-ft. of torque) flat-plane crankshaft 3.8-liter V8 engine with twin turbochargers. It is a mid-engine rear-wheel drive car with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and a fixed-damper suspension. It can rocket from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8-seconds and it runs the 1/4-mile in only 10.7-seconds at a trap speed of 132 mph. Not too shabby for bone stock.

Today’s test drive will be run by professional race driver Randy Pobst. Gamers will remember Laguna Seca from the Gran Turismo series. It features tons of hairpin curves, S curves, and elevation changes. Randy puts the 570 through its paces with multiple GoPro cameras attached.
