200 MPH C7 Corvette Tops World Record

September 23rd, 2020

At last! Often maligned, the Chevrolet C7 Corvette has finally eclipsed the 200 mph pinnacle. Corvette C7 owner Michael Stout has teamed up with Vengeance Racing to take the Indy Airstrip Attack by storm. After four-years of trying, the Vengeance Team not only sets a new C7 World Record, they totally obliterate the old record of 196 mph with a new World Record of 216.34 mph. This car would continue to post 210+ mph passes all weekend.

The baddest of all C7s is modified with an LSX Tall Deck engine block from Chevy Performance. This mill has all the right stuff – from six-bolt main caps to extra thick cylinder walls to a six head bolt per cylinder design – to handle any combination of power adders. Speaking of cylinder heads, these are from Mast Motorsports. The twin turbochargers are 88-millimeter units from Borg Warner. Of course, the entire car is setup by Vengeance Racing (Alpharetta, Georgia).

Not a bad way to end a weekend of racing; Fastest Car on the Property, Fastest Rear Wheel Drive and World Record C7 Top Speed. You gotta love it when hard work and dedication culminate in world records and class wins. Bragging rights are nice, too. Congratulations to Michael Stout and the Vengeance crew.
