RWD Stick Shift Quarter-Mile World Record

February 25th, 2019

Greetings racing fans and welcome to TRC Street Kings 2016. This weekend of racing will prove to be a memorable one for a young man (Yandro) and his radically modified Ford Mustang (the Minion). Before it is all said and done, Yandro will hold the World Record for a rear-wheel drive, stick-shift vehicle in the quarter-mile (drag racing) and an Event Record for top speed in the roll racing category.

Under the hood, the Mustang has a Levin Motorsports prepared 4.6-liter engine with twin turbochargers (air-to-water intercooler) mated to a T-56 manual transmission. The Minion is capable of producing approximately 1,500hp.

After getting a scare during the roll racing, Yandro attacks the digs and sinks his teeth in. First pass and he puts down a 7.67 @ 184.35 mph! That’s good enough for a World Record and spirited attaboys all around.

Next, there is record-breaking roll racing footage and more bonus coverage from Street Kings 2016.
