700HP Honda Prelude Runs Rampant on the Streets of Texas

May 21st, 2015

Prelude sideTake one look at this Honda, with its extra-large front drive tire and deep throaty rumble, and you realize that this is not your little sister’s Prelude. Dubbed the “V8 Killer”, this four-cylinder powered import is living up to its moniker. The owner/operator lists a 427 equipped Corvette with nitrous as his most memorable V8 conquest.

This clip from the BOOSTED NIGHTS – Texas Streets DVD (from 1320 videos) shows the souped-up Prelude,  with a H22 2.0-liter engine and Precision 6266 turbocharger, taking on a 700HP 2JZ Honda S2000, a 730HP Pontiac Trans Am, and a 850HP Corvette SC. The “little Honda that could” seems to more than hold its own with these potent street maulers, before the transmission takes a powder. Get the gearbox fixed and this Prelude will be a terror on the streets of Texas. NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
