The 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix was one of the first in a long line of GM's "Personal Luxury" cars. Pontiac's answer to the Ford Thunderbird, slotted as a luxury, performance, mid-size car, between the larger Bonneville and the smaller Tempest in the Pontiac lineup. The 1962 Grand Prix was the 1st of the B-body based 1st Generation (1962-1968). The GP was introduced as a lone hardtop model, based on the Catalina platform but available with bigger engines and many more options. The new Grand Prix was at the top of the line and sported a clean style exterior with a sporty and luxurious interior that featured Morrokide-covered bucket seats, a console, floor shift, tachometer, and rear speaker. The classic split-nose featured a fine-mesh grille design, topped with the classic checkered flag badge. The Grand Prix was available with either three or four speed manual transmission in addition to the floor-shift automatic. Overall though, this pre-muscle car was about subtle power, and a rolling, understated class, which it had in spades.
Vanguard Motor Sales is proud and excited to present this extensively restored 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix. You would spend over $60,000 to do this car from scratch. The laser straight, rust-free body is painted stunning Raspberry Pearl. All of the chrome and stainless trim shines like new. The door lips, trunk jamb and all of the margins are beautiful. Take a look at the undercarriage, and you will find the same Raspberry Pearl paint. The trunk is finished in the same high quality paint, with a fresh mat and a spare. Even the trunk light works. This car has been extremely well cared for and it shows.
Take a peek under the hood and you will find the V8 motor. We are not sure if it is a 421 or a 389, as they have the same block ID, but she purrs like a kitten either way. You will also notice how well detailed the engine bay is, and that the fender walls look amazing painted black. The automatic transmission shifts on a dime, and the power steering and power drum brakes keep this GP between the lines. To top off the killer looks of this car, chrome American Racing wheels sit at all four corners (17" front, and 20" rear).
Check out this custom interior! The seats, carpet and headliner are new. There are seatbelts for four. Everything works in this car, including the AM/FM cassette radio, remote mirror, heat and gauges. The center console with floor shifter and mounted tachometer is in perfect working condition. This is a comfortable cruiser that turns heads where ever she goes.
This is one beautifully restored show stopping Grand Prix. You don't see these everyday. This is a Pontiac that you can take to the local show or cruise with pride. Don't wait, call us today! This Raspberry Pearl Pontiac won't last long!

1967 Pontiac GTO Classic Muscle Care for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales

Few cars from the 60s capture the rare blend of performance and attitude of early GTOs and that has made them extremely hot collector cars in today's market. At Vanguard Motor Sales in Plymouth, Michigan, we sell a lot of nice Pontiacs, but this 1967 hardtop is the car you've always dreamed of owning. Covered in beautiful red paint, it's a highly optioned car that has only been beautifully restored.
The restoration began with bodywork that was performed to a very high standard. The panels are straight, show no ripples or waves and fit precisely. On top of those straight panels, the red paint provides an incredible finish. The hood features a tachometer. The white vinyl top is in pristine condition. The end result is a jaw-dropping 'Goat' that will get fans talking when you pull into the show.
Raise the hood and the first thing you'll notice is a killer 467 Stroker Motor with 484 horsepower and 510 ft. lbs. of torque. At the sides you will see Edelbrock heads and intake and a W/750 Holley Street Avenger. In front of the motor is the new aluminum radiator with electric fan, as well as the clutch fan for cruising on hot summer nights. Dig a little deeper and you'll find all new brakes, cylinder, master cylinder and Richmond ring and pinion steering. There is also a hidden shut off switch to prevent any unwanted drivers taking your GTO for a spin without you. This 467 purrs like a tiger should!
Underneath the car, you'll find that the chassis is every bit as well detailed as the engine compartment. The M22 Rockcrusher wide ratio 4-speed transmission delivers power to a
355 to 1 posi-traction rear end. This GTO features all new springs, new ball joints and tie rods. Exhaust duties are handled by a Doug Headers and Masterflow Exhaust. Keeping the car connected to the pavement are Cragar wheels and Cooper tires.
Inside the car you will find the redone red vinyl buckets that present as new with seats that are firm. All of the wood veneer in the dash and on the console is in great shape, as well as all of the stainless. The dash pad looks new and houses the gauge package. In between the seats you will find the console and Hurst shifter. An Autosound stereo with 6 disc changer in the glove box sounds amazing thanks to the amp that is mounted in the trunk. The electric antenna is also a plus. Under the deck-lid, the GTOs spacious trunk has been properly restored with correct spatter paint and includes a new mat, a spare and a correct jack decal.
Documentation for this car includes the original owner's manual.
If you've been thinking about putting a GTO in your garage, this 1967 hardtop is the one to buy. It's an incredibly authentic, freshly restored investment grade car. Stylish and impressively fast, it's a car that you will never get tired of driving and can show anywhere with confidence. Call today! 248-974-9513
