Discussion about this Video:
I feel like I should have made this video a while ago but the opportunity
never came up. Since I had this RL in my shop that had a check engine
light AND an ABS light I thought it was a perfect opportunity to put this
video together. I get asked all the time about my 'special tool' and it's
really nothing more than a Honda 2 pin connector with the input wires
soldered together. These connectors might be harder to find than you think
but if you run across a junk honda and one of these is on the harness grab
it. Even if you don't have the tool a paper clip or piece of wire will do
the exact same thing so don't sweat it if you don't have the tool because
shorting the connector is all you need to do.
I hope you find this video helpful.

The Honda Accord:
The Honda Accord was introduced by Honda in 1976. It was one of only three
Hondas originally sold in America. In 1982, the Accord became the first
Japanese car to be produced in the United States. Since the Accord's
creation, Honda has offered several different car body styles including a
sedan, coupé, and wagon. The name Accord was chosen by Honda because it
reflected Honda's dream for "accord and harmony between people". The
initial design was to be a fuel efficient, low emission vehicle since it
was to be introduced during the fuel crises of the 1970s The original
Accord met emission standards of the 1970s and early 1980s without a
For the 1998, the Accord sedan was offered DX, LX, EX, and EX-V6 trims
while the Accord Coupe was offered only in LX, EX, and EX-V6 trims. The DX
model came with a 135 bhp 2.3L I4 engine, while the LX and EX included a
150 bhp 2.3L I4 VTEC engine. All V6 sedan and coupe models received the new
200 bhp 3.0L V6 SOHC VTEC engine. Despite the Accord's reputation for
reliability, the V6 models were involved in a class action law suit due to
transmission failures. In response, Honda extended warranties for the 2000
through 2001 models to 7 years or 109,000 miles.
