Is It Numbers Matching? - Cougar by the Numbers
In this video we delve into the complex topic of decoding tags, date codes, and other numbers to check if your classic Ford / Mercury is "numbers matching," using Don's newly acquired '69 Mercury Cougar XR7 428 Cobra Jet convertible as an example. While we haven't covered the subject 100% in this video (to keep it concise) we think this covers most of the major components and gives you the knowledge you need to figure out what your numbers mean. As mentioned in the video, we highly recommend Marti Auto Works, especially his Tagbook, which made this video possible. Delivery of the 1967 Cougar
The husband bought a 1967 Cougar to tinker with for the next, oh, 10 years. Perhaps one day it will move *out* of the garage, but here it is arriving *into* the garage. At least I don't have to give up my parking space. The husband will regret this purchase when he can't park in the garage when the snow flies!! The tow truck driver was very good. The truck itself was fun to watch! (Used a flat bed as the car has no brakes, and extremely questionable tires)

1968 Mercury Cougar - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars
Cougar... The Man's Car! That's how Mercury was advertising it's top of the line Cougar in the mid-sixties. While sharing commonality with the Mustang, the Cougar has maintained its own aura and identity. Mercury's slogan was, "See your dealer...At the Sign of the Cat". This cougar is highly customized/modified. Another example of individuality expressed through car crafting. http://www.coolcarsvideo.com 1968 Mercury Cougar - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars http://www.cool-cars-video.com cool cars, hot cars, fast cars, dream cars, Cool Cars Video offers a feast for the eyes as well as insight from car enthusiasts about owning these cool street machines. Everybody loves cool cars. Even a person with no particular interest in cars experiences a thrill when seated behind the wheel of a great automobile. The car is one of man's most prolific mechanical inventions and the engineer's desire to build the ultimate automobile is overshadowed only by the layman's desire to own the coolest car. Of course, everyone has different ideas about what makes a car particularly cool. For some it may simply be lots of cup holders or comfortable seats. But those aren't the kind of things you'll be seeing here. This site is about the most important coolness factors: Performance and Styling. Auto enthusiasts share a common interest, but they each have different ideals about performance and styling. We like to make videos that show off cool cars and celebrate the individuality of their owners. Bob's is the only remaining original Big Boy restaurant. Built in 1949, Bob's Big Boy offers a lively dining experience with turn of the century styling and a cool car cruise-in every Friday. World famous for great food, as well as this weekly automotive gathering, people from far and wide cruise their fantastic machines to Bob's for a late afternoon meal and a good time with fellow car enthusiasts. Located just outside Hollywood, Bob's Big Boy restaurant is a mecca for new car unveilings, movie promotions, and amazing one of a kind cars!

WCCC Open House / Cruise / BBQ / Great Oregon Steam-Up 2011
Every year in August we have an open house at West Coast Classic Cougar. We are based just outside of Salem, Oregon, and have a wrecking yard full of 67-73 Cougars, and a warehouse full of new and used Cougar parts. It's a two-day event that usually takes place on a Friday and Saturday. On Friday, we have our open house and a small car show. Then in the evening, we cruise over to Silverton for a barbecue at our friend Brian's place in the middle of open farmland. Finally, on Saturday, we attend the Great Oregon Steam-Up at Antique Powerland, located close by our shop in Brooks. This year we had a reserved space for Cougars. There is an endless amount of cool antique machinery to see at this show. If this event sounds like fun to you, hop in your Cougar and we'll see you next year! Visit us online at http://www.cougarpartscatalog.com Subscribe to keep up with our latest videos!
